The famed Harvard University does not require any introduction. To be fair, none of the other US top universities on this list do too. Harvard University consists of 13 schools and institutes, including the top-ranked Medical School and Business School and the highly ranked School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Graduate Education School, Law School, and John F. Kennedy School of Government. This university boasts a legendary reputation right from its inception in 1636 when it was founded the General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Harvard University’s penchant for academics is well documented but they also have a thriving athletics team that competes in the Ivy League, with an annual football match-up against rival Yale.
