Sir William Boreman’s Foundation

Sir William Boreman’s Foundation is a charitable organization established based on the will of Sir William Boreman in 1684. Originally, Sir William Boreman founded a school in Greenwich, which was later entrusted to The Drapers’ Company along with adjacent land and endowment arrangements. While the original school no longer exists, the foundation now supports young individuals in the London Boroughs of Greenwich or Lewisham. 

Eligibility: 

  • You should be a permanent resident in Greenwich or Lewisham for a minimum of five years.
    You must be under 25 years old.
  • Your household income should be below £30,000 per year.
  • You must be a UK national or have ‘Settled’ status under the Immigration Act 1971, meaning there are no restrictions on your length of stay in the UK.

William Hills Scholarship

The William Hills Scholarship is available at the University of Greenwich. This scholarship programme is generously funded by William Hills and aims to support students in their academic pursuits. This scholarship is offered to only 6 students studying Mechanical Engineering degree. Below you will find the eligibility criteria, funding and deadlines for this prestigious scholarship.

  • You must be a new entrant studying MEng Mechanical Engineering on a full-time basis at Medway Campus.
  • Students in BEng Mechanical Engineering (Year Two only) on a full-time basis at Medway campus can also apply. 
  • You should have a minimum of 128 UCAS points from two or three A-Levels. This should include at least a B grade in A-level Maths. Level 3 Key Skills and General Studies are not considered.
  •  If you are a BEng Mechanical Engineering student transferring to the third year of the MEng programme, you will also be eligible for the scholarship during your third and fourth years. The faculty will identify and nominate these students.

The Ann Packer Sports Scholarship
