Types Of Kingston University International Scholarships 

Kingston University provides partial scholarships that international students can utilise to offset their tuition fees. Great Scholarships For International Students In The UK 

Students from 14 countries have the chance to receive £10,000 towards their tuition fees for a variety of one-year taught postgraduate courses. These scholarships are a collaborative effort between the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, the British Council, and Kingston University scholarship committee. All GREAT scholars will be invited to attend a welcome event in the first semester and a networking event in the second semester as part of the programme. This initiative aims to support and empower students from these countries by providing financial assistance and fostering a sense of community through these special events. 

Students from only Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam can apply.

  • Applicants must present English language requirement of Kingston University.

Chevening Scholarships 

Chevening Scholarships enable outstanding emerging leaders from around the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK. These fully-funded scholarships cover flights, accommodation, and course fees, allowing recipients to concentrate on their professional goals and make the most of this transformative experience. 

Students will spend a year living and studying in the UK, where they will enhance their professional and academic growth, establish valuable networks, immerse themselves in UK culture, and foster lasting, positive relationships. Upon completion of their studies, they will depart the UK equipped with the knowledge and networks needed to bring their own ideas to fruition.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
  • They should have completed an undergraduate programme and be applying for a postgraduate programme at a university in the UK.
  • Students must hold an unconditional offer of admission from this university.
  • After completing the scholarship, applicants are required to return to their home country and reside there for a minimum of two years.
  • They must have a minimum of two years of work experience.
  • Applicants must meet the Chevening English language requirement, which may include a minimum score on an approved English language test.

Kevin Walsh Scholarship

The Kevin Walsh Scholarship is designed to support students who are completing their undergraduate studies and wish to pursue a taught Master’s course within the School of Computer Science & Mathematics. This Kingston University scholarship is awarded for a duration of one year and offers financial assistance to cover the home fees associated with a Master’s degree. In addition to covering the tuition fees, the scholarship also provides a maintenance grant to support the recipient’s living expenses during their Master’s programme. 

Eligibility:

  • Have completed an undergraduate degree at Kingston University between 2020 and 2022 or be in the process of completing one in 2023.
  • Be classified as ‘home’ for fee purposes.
  • Have achieved or expect to achieve a 2:1 classification in their undergraduate degree.
  • Have received an offer for a taught Master’s course within the School of Computer Science & Mathematics.
  • Must have an income of less than £25,000 per year

The OfS Scholarship

This Kingston University scholarship will provide financial support to 11 home students starting in September 2023. It is funded by the Office for Students and aims to address the under-representation of certain groups in the fields of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The primary objective is to increase the participation of traditionally marginalised or under-represented individuals in these areas of study. 

Eligibility: 

  • Students those who have accepted an offer to Kingston University for any of these postgraduate programmes: MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence or MSc Applied Data Science
  • Must have an income of less than £25,000 per year
  • Can be disabled 
  • Also, applicable if you are from low socioeconomic background  (POLAR quintile 1 and 2 postcode)

Gangolli Scholarship

With the generous backing from Professor Sharat and Mrs Lilian Gangolli, a fully-funded scholarship opportunity for taught MSc courses in the School of Life Sciences, Pharmacy, and Chemistry is made available. Since 2006, the Sino-British Fellowship Trust has graciously provided generous support to senior graduate students by offering them a one-year fellowship to pursue the study of Curating Contemporary Design. Furthermore, the Trust has kindly acknowledged the increasing interest among Chinese practitioners and has agreed to offer visiting scholarships for one term to cater to their needs. The Trust’s continued support demonstrates their commitment to nurturing talent and promoting cultural exchange between China and Britain in the field of design curating.

  • Must be a Chinese resident with a valid passport.
  • Applicants must be over 25 years of age.
  • They must have accepted their offer for the course from Kingston University.

Niloufar Ebrahim Scholarship in Memory of Flight PS752 Victims

Navaz Ebrahim and family have created a scholarship at Kingston University in memory of Niloufar Ebrahim, one of the passengers tragically lost in the Iran plane crash on 8 January 2020. This Kingston University scholarship is specifically designated for international postgraduate students within the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. The establishment of this scholarship by the Ebrahim family, in collaboration with Kingston University, serves as a lasting tribute and support for students pursuing their academic aspirations in honor of Niloufar Ebrahim’s memory.

Eligibility: 

  • Those with international fee status can only apply. 
  • Students who have accepted a conditional offer in the  Faculty of Business and Social Sciences in academic year 2023-24 can only apply for this Kingston University scholarship.
